Vaernes is an international and national airport. This is located at North -East about 32 km from Trondheim. There is a great airport transportation parking at værnes.

How to get to Trondheim from the airport? There are every 15 minutes buses that you can take to get to the city. You can pay NOK 90 for adults and half the price for children. There are student discounts as well. These buses are called Flybussen.

If you want to take a taxi to get to Trondheim. It costs NOK 320 including taxes per person. You should reserve a taxi four hours in advance. If you want to reserve for th next day, you should reserve it at 20:00PM.

Flights from Trondheim to Oslo takes an hour. They usually serve some beverages and snacks. There are various airlines that offer their services such as: SAS BRAATHENS, NORWEGIAN,WIDERAE and KLM. 

Norwegian airline has always the cheapest flights. You can always find bargain prices by using their service. SAS Braathens usually has more expensive flights and not all of their flight attendants friendly comparing to Lufthansa ( German airline)! I personally have always enjoyed using Lufthansa airline to travel to various European and American countries. Their flight attendants and personal are every friendly! KLM ( Amsterdam to Trondheim) is also a good airline.


By train
Trondheim has train connections to everywhere several times a day's departures and arrivals.

By boat and Ferry

By car
Plan your own trip and try E6 one of the international European road network. There is also E14 which begins in Trondheim and ends in Sundval,Sweden.

In down town parking is a little bit expensive. However there are various parking lots such as: central stasjon ( central station) Solsiden, Parkeringshus( bakke), Pirbadet, Lufthenhaven, Torget, Central badet, St. Olav's Hospital, Nedre elvehavn.

There are parking lots in down town where you can park for only 30 min and pay NOK 19
